About Us

Small sporting clubs and associations need money to provide services for their members and seek this through sponsorship. Large corporations have marketing budgets but small clubs and associations don’t have the ability to approach large corporations to present themselves properly.

Large corporations want to reach grass roots consumers with their marketing, but generally can’t deal with thousands of small community based clubs and associations.

Tennent is one single point of contact for large corporations to reach thousands of individual groups, while being able to represent small clubs and associations to large corporations.

Through Tennent’s association with media network Business Plaza we have sponsorship rights for more than 7,000 sporting clubs and associations across Australia covering most codes. This will continue to increase as schools and charities join the network.

What We do

Tennent provides a complete one stop for all sponsorship management at grass roots communities. Sponsorship can include:

  • At grounds promotions and activations
  • At grounds hospitality events
  • Direct marketing to members
  • Target audiences geographically, by sporting code or demographically
  • Passive, with signage and branding at club grounds and web sites
  • High profile with branding on player kit
  • Short term for tactical campaigns
  • Long term for brand building

Why Use Us

We have been managing sponsorship for community based groups since 2006 and understand the dynamics of volunteer not for profit community groups.

With sporting and community groups being volunteer run, it means the volunteers have other jobs. Everyone is working harder and there are fewer and fewer volunteers, and as a result, aside from volunteer burn-out, with best intentions things often just don’t get done.

By taking a managing position in the relationship between sponsors and our clubs and associations we make sure that our communities are properly presented, that promises to sponsors are fulfilled and that benefits are maximised for each party.
